Glenwood Community Association, NSW
The GCA is a non-partisan residents group.
Our aim is to foster community spirit and improve the amenity of our suburb. Our volunteers remove graffiti and pick up litter. We lobby Blacktown City Council, members of parliament and public utilities to obtain better services and facilities for our neighbourhood.

Key points for our association

Such as:
Cricket nets at the Alwyn Lindfield Reserve

Installation of basketball hoops

‘No Parking’ signs to prevent obstructions on our narrow streets

Improvements to the Glenwood Shopping Village car park

Replacement of faulty playground equipment

Timers on field lights at the Alwyn Lindfield reserve

We care about sustainability. We are lobbying for accelerated construction of a bike path, more trees, commuter car parking and improvements to the stormwater channels.

We’ve held community meetings on traffic snarls, neighbourhood disputes and solar panels. We’ve commented on development applications affecting the Parklea Markets site and the Northwest Rail station at Bella Vista.

A Facebook Page, where residents keep each other informed about the little things you won’t find in the local paper, like power blackouts, illegal dumping and lost pets.
